Blaze Product Updates — 3 August 2026

We’ve shipped a new batch of Blaze web updates focused on keeping streams in view, making chat more expressive, and helping every conversation flow more naturally.

This release brings Picture-in-Picture to the web, introduces a complete emote system, adds replies to chat, and gives badges and message interactions a cleaner, more consistent experience.

Keep Watching with Picture-in-Picture on Web

Leaving a live channel no longer means leaving the stream behind.

When you browse to another part of Blaze, the live stream now moves into a compact floating player. Playback continues while you explore, and the controls you need stay close at hand.

• Keep watching while browsing other Blaze pages
• Play, pause, mute, and adjust playback from the mini-player
• Jump straight back to the live channel
• Close the floating player whenever you’re done

The player automatically returns to the full channel layout when you go back, so you can move around Blaze without breaking the viewing experience.

More Ways to Express Yourself with Emotes

Chat now has a complete emote experience built for both the wider Blaze community and individual creator communities.

Global Blaze Emotes

Blaze emotes are available to everyone across every channel. They give the entire platform a shared visual language for reactions, celebrations, and those moments that need more than words.

Channel-Specific Emotes

Creators can now upload and manage their own emote sets from Stream Settings. Channel emotes live alongside global Blaze emotes in the picker, making each community feel more recognizable and personal.

Subscriber-Only Emotes

Creators can reserve individual channel emotes for active subscribers. Locked emotes remain visible in the picker, so viewers can see what they can unlock by supporting the channel.

The updated picker also makes it easier to find the right reaction with search, recent emotes, and clear Blaze and Channel sections.

Reply Directly in Chat

Fast chat should still feel like a conversation.

You can now reply directly to a message. Your response keeps a compact preview of the original message attached, making it clear who and what you’re responding to even when chat is moving quickly.

Selecting that preview takes you back to the original message and highlights it in the chat history. Replies also handle deleted or unavailable messages gracefully, so the conversation stays understandable without exposing removed content.

Cleaner Badges and Chat Interactions

We’ve refined chat’s visual hierarchy and interaction patterns across desktop and touch devices.

• Subscriber, OG, and VIP badges are more compact and consistently arranged beside usernames
• Broadcaster identity and role-based name colors are easier to scan
• Reply actions are quick to reach, while moderation tools are grouped into a cleaner action menu
• Touch targets, keyboard focus states, and tooltips have been improved
• Chat scrolling is less disruptive when you’re reading earlier messages

The result is a chat that feels calmer, clearer, and faster without losing the energy of a live room.
